Parking codes
I was roaming around the airport and I noticed that a good amount of airplanes (klm, lufthansa, etc) are parked at the cargo areas while terminal 3 has very little planes. I change the times and dates to see if anything changes but they are subtle. I'm not sure if it's my AI traffic (WOAI) or the parking codes. Any ideas?
Oh also the drop list in the airport menu where you can choose parking, doesn't have many gates.

Re: Parking codes
From what I know... and this maybe out of date: Only gates F1-5 and B1-7 are used for non Emirates. Everywhere else, all I ever saw was Emirates. Concourse 3 I think is also meant to become an Emirates exclusive A380 cluster-fest. Maybe we will see some Qantas there once they start using Dubai as a hub in 2013.
Our Afcads are usually set to Ramp-Mil-Cargo instead of Gate because that is the only method I know to prevent default FSX airport vehicles from appearing and being rendered half-way into walls and jetways. If you have the Airport Vehicles slider set to none (under FSX traffic settings), they could be changed to "Gate"... but we have no control over what slider setting the user might have and at the same time want to be sure those vehicles aren't there.

Re: Parking codes
Hi Martin,
that is nice to know. So airport vehicles deactivated in FSX menu does not prevent your custom made traffic to be switched off?
Thanks,
Axel

Re: Parking codes
Hey thanks Martin! I'll go ahead and set the airport vehicles to Zero. They're FPS annoying anyways. How do you change the parking to GATE again? I don't know a good program to change it for FSX

Re: Parking codes
Yes, the Airport Vehicle Slider applies only to default FSX pushbacks etc. I don't think it can affect anything in Addon Sceneries.Axel wrote:that is nice to know. So airport vehicles deactivated in FSX menu does not prevent your custom made traffic to be switched off?

Re: Parking codes
Okay, I didn't download the program yet because I found this. (Which may be the problem)
It may seem that the regular AFCAD for Dubai is what's causing this. A group of planes are inside the building, another group are far away from the terminal and my respawn point starts in the middle of Runway 12R and 30L

Re: Parking codes
It is definitely another Afcad for OMDB but very unlikely the default one.
