Auto Brake
Auto Brake
Hi all
Would anybody know what typically the auto brake settings would be for a typical arrival at KMDW? Also i would assume that flap 40 would be used rather than 30 for landing and maybe a little more than flap 5 for take off.
Many thanks

Not too sure about the auto-brake, went with manual brakes on my first actual flight arrival...
Just got out of FS from a flight (PIT-MDW), did Flaps 30, managed to stop and get off of 4L right before taxi-way Papa. If your looking for stopping on a dime, go to the no-no zone on the 737 (Flaps 40), and max auto-brake should get you off at Golf... I'd be curious as to the actual procedures though...

How come SWA are not allowed to use Autobrake? Brake wear or something? Is it also true you guys have VNAV or LNAV disabled?
Thanks
Use of autobrakes is not in our FOM. That may change however. We do not use VNAV, but we do use LNAV. Remember, there are still pilots out there that actually fly the airplane.flyerboy wrote:Hi
