Aerosoft offers for quite some time a scenery called "Maledives". It includes the the capital city Male, lots of small islands with holiday resorts and a midrange quality version of the airport with sea base.
On their forums I read that this location sells quite well so it could make sense to enhance it with a Flytampa quality airport that sits on top of that scenery.
Compared to other FT airports (Athens, Tampa, Hong Kong) this would be a rather small project. Maybe it could be economically interesting?

George, just write off the trip as a business expense. After all, you do have to go on a fact finding mission if you are going to do the scenery.
The airport itself is not very large but you also have to do the resorts on a bunch of the islands, the float plane base, the city of Male...
I agree that the Maldives would be better if they got the FT Grenadines treatment but IMHO the Aerosoft product isn't outdated enough to get a bunch of people to replace it. Quite honestly, Aerosoft's scenery is pretty good.

My suggestion was to do only just
the airport of Male Intl
Aerosoft did a great job on the capital city, the holiday resorts, the sea plane base and the small islands. Absolutely no need to redo all this. Go to airliners.net and search for the airport. The location is beautiful and obviously not too big. The runway is also the taxiway.

I'm lucky enough to have been there. Its absolutely gorgeous. Best beaches in the world. So quiet its like having your own Island. Although, swimming with all the little black tip sharks takes some getting used to.
But, I doubt it will sell very well, especially with another reasonable scenery already on the market.
I was just clowning around replying to this post since I love the area so much.

I am searching and searching, but I can't find a crying smiley. But I predict you if you do a scenery like Male airport your future would look like this.

If you make fs2004 version, you will be very successful because LAGO's one is not good and Aerosoft didn't release FS2004.

The title may be plural as in Maldive
s, but Aerosoft only did the island of Male. The other islands are default, so if any of them have airports on them...

No, they included a number of resorts in North Male Atoll, AI traffic for for TMA and MAT and the scenery for VRMM. It is not as comprehensive at the Lago version but it offers more than just VRMM or the city of Male. I own the Aerosoft verion and the Lago version. I don't know what settings you are using but my default scenery doesn't look like this:

I think quite a lot addon developers tried to "copy" the success of FT TNCM. You could almost see it on every youtube video. But not a single one has reached the overall quality of the FT scenery. I would love to have a second tropical island style high end airport finally.
