FSX Freezing after loading
When I try to load the Kai-Tak scenery, My FSX freezes after it loads 100% and never gets into the game. Do I need SP2 or is it another issue?

You mean you are running SP1 or RTM? I am not aware of the scenery crashing in either (shouldn't happen) but SP2 is recommended.hotasflames99 wrote:Do I need SP2 or is it another issue?
SP2 is the recommended version for FSX kai Tak like Martin says
Kai Tak has been tested on all variations of computers including XP, Vista 32 and Laptops.
All versions of FSX were also tested which include SP1, SP2, Acceleration, and SP2 with and witout Acceleration.
During beta I ran FSX Kai Tak on a very slow 6 year old Gateway with XP using the ATI 9700 pro video card and 512k computer Ram.
This laptop is XP and a Dell Latitude 630 using FSX SP1 because the monitor does not support SP2.
Of course my very highend computer with SLI Dual GTX 8800's with 4M of computer Ram runs Kai Tak with no problems. That computer has Vista32 with SP2 and Acceleration.
If you still have the FSX RTM version you should update to at least SP1. Many issues were addressed with SP1 both in-game and out of game including OOM errors if all the proper windows updates (5 total) are applied as per the readme.
SP2 does not overwrite all of the SP1 but adds some additional features in FSX.
