FlyTampa AI Ships ACA Errors

Post by Mike... » Sun Apr 22, 2007 1:05 pm

I was using ACA (Aircraft Analyzer) to check for errors after installing a bunch of new models and repaints for this wonderful new package FlyTampa has released.

I noticed several errors for the AI Ships as well. Most of them harmless, but three of them might result in unexpected behavior in FS9.

For motorboat_medium, there are indeed two fltsim.0 entries. I'm not sure if this is a problem. Perhaps the second one will be ignored by FS, it might not show up?

For sailboat_medium, the aircraft.cfg file says "white_nosail" as model for fltsim.3, but the model folder is actually "white1_nosail".

And for sailboat_small, fltsim.2 asks for a "red_nosail" model, but the only no sail model is "white_nosail".

I think those last two will indeed result in a couple of no-shows, right?

We are aware, see this post:
viewtopic.php?t=2249

The broken entries are not causing any missing ships at run-time as they all point to "static variations". All models called "_nosail" have the sails down and got implemented as scenery objects (not AI).

The ship linking/error messages will all get fixed in a patch along with other small issues/fixes posted in the sticky threads. I am still waiting to see if other issues pop up before I release this patch.

I should've done a search, shouldn't I?

Sorry about that and thanks for the answer.
