A very good morning,
Just a quick question: TNCM is (still) absent at Simmarket.
I will hold my horses then UFN by you.
Best regards and congratulations.

I checked again now, I see you the list of pending-orders that have not been charged yet. Perhaps write a short note to cservice@bmtmicro.com. I suspect this may have less to do with the gmail account then with the cc transaction.Robin.B wrote:It's been over 4 hours now and still no luck. How much more time should I allow? Should I contact them about it?
Thanks for the reply Martin. I've dropped them an e-mail (albeit to orders@bmtmicro.com) and I'll hope for the best.
Couple of observations,
1. The FS9 version is absolutely fantastic.
2. The FSX version of the TNCM is fantastic (The rwy would be even better eventually).
3. The FSX preliminary version of the St Maarten Island: The autogens seem to be very low or nonexisitant as mentioned in your first post. and also the default lighthouse and birds and ships be left there in the FSX patch. They add to the scenery and wouldn't clash .atleast not estatically with your scenery. (hopefully this would be done as part of the FSX patch)
4. Please reconsider doing the Saba and St Barths for the FSX version.
Thanks again for such a wonderful scenery.
Manny

Re: Release Notes
1. Is the purpose of the autogen trees and houses being sparse for performance reasons? No fault of yours.martin[flytampa] wrote:
Preliminary Details:
- Princess Juliana Airport (TNCM) with all objects & details as in the FS2004 version (exceptions: windsock, animated cars).
- Island Photoscenery & Autogen houses. Trees are currently sparse on purpose.
- Static ships.
- Option for generic FSX jetways or static jetways as in the FS2004 version.
- Option for default runway. Needed for the night lighting and PAPI only. If you can do without PAPI, deactivate the generic runway. This will give you an impression of how the final version will look like.
2. How do I deactivate the generic runway?

1. Only Martin can answer that.Manny wrote: 1. Is the purpose of the autogen trees and houses being sparse for performance reasons? No fault of yours.

2. Run the installer again, there is a check box for that option.

Yeah.. Its not just that its bad. Its also the repetition that kills it. Cause I have added some freeware runway textures as default for FS9..they were good in the beginning..but after a while it gets you.george[flytampa] wrote:Reinstall it & de-select default runways from the options.
FSX Sp1 will handle the runways almost as well as FS9 now.
Those FSX runway textures are bloody awful aren't they ?
I am so glad that it fixes the problem in the FSX Sp1. That has been bugging me even more than the actual performance issue.

Manny
PS: I removed the default runway..this is so much better.
BTW..there was another option I unchecked ("remove default TNCM). I didn't notice any difference with this checked and this unchecked. What does this do?
So George are you saying that you're now able to design scenery for FSX overcoming the round earth problems you were having? I've heard you mention a few times over at Avsim that you were having some troubles designing scenery for FSX, so I just thought I'd ask if SP1 fixed those issues and we may start to see some FT sceneries now for FSX. FSX seems to be a huge step forward that's probably why it's not as backwards compatible as we hoped. Can't wait for TNCM and others for FSX! Thanks FlyTampa team!!!Posted: Sat Apr 14, 2007 9:34 am Post subject:

To answer some of the FSX questions.
The option "Disable default St. Maarten" unchecks the default entry "St. Maarten" in the FSX Scenery library. You can re-check it, you will see a strange effect when flying over the island where the land closest to your viewport will load default and the futher away will load mine.
Autogen: The autogen was originally placed with the FS9 Annotator since FSX annotated Autogen isn't backwards compatible. (Thats all the .AGN files in both the FS9 and FSX maarten/texture folders btw). What happened when the FS9 annotation was transfered to FSX is we saw crashes after using the scenery for a few minutes + aweful FPS. The problem turned out to be the trees annotations. So deleted all trees and started re-inserting them with FSX annotator just to see fps drop to single digits. Final solution for now: Removed all of the dense tree annotations and left it sparse. Autogen houses don't seem to be a problem in FSX, trees however must have some leak or other problem that we hope gets fixed in SP1.
There are certain files you can delete in order to get just TNCM airport with the default St Maarten island + default Autogen, but it will run half the speed. Rename in Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Maarten/maarten_photo_fsx.bgl
