Southwest truck in the way...

Post by Nick Bartolotta » Mon Oct 23, 2006 6:49 pm

Hi folks,

I reinstalled FlyTampa Midway with no static aircraft, but still have an issue with gate B25. I can't select that as a starting point, and when I pull in, there is a stupid Southwest truck in the way, so it's halfway into my right engine  Anyway to remove this?

I've attached a photo to show what I mean...
Thanks!

Gate 25, the one where the SW truck is parked right on top, is (or should) not be an available selection at all.

I just checked my Afcad file and this 25 position is left out. I recall doing this on purpose, leaving it out and putting the truck right on top, because it was a too tight position to be used either way. What I mean is, FS would potentially overlap AI wings if planes were to stand at 24, 25, 26 at the same time.

This happens more often then I wish, at a real airport certains gates that are overlapping or too close never get used at the same time. With FS-AI this is harder or impossible to control, so I usually just delete/disable one of the gates within Afcad.

Is there any way though for me to manually remove the truck and add the AFCAD parking spot? I don't use AI, but I understand why that would be an issue for AI users.

I think if you rename static3.bgl to static3.bak it will be gone.

It will remove the other "clutter-objects" in that area as well tho.
