Its not looking good for Seattle :( There's clearly less room to work with than I thought.
FSX is now seven years old? It still has no-go regions. Sloppy FS98 code still in it I bet.

I think Seattle will have to go. Sorry Guys. I love this airport but when its running at 10 FPS & OOMing on finals, it'll all be my fault.

New airport time.

Very sad to hear, Seattle was done beautifully in FS9. So as Ive said from years ago down the line and still to this day, Flytampa Bangkok VTBS?

Yes there is one in the works from A_A Sceneries but seriously....its never going to be half as decent as a FT quality piece of work, and the previous version from the same chap and Armi Project proved pretty under par. Asia still very neglected in FS, Bangkok is a worldwide gateway for numerous airlines and heavily visited by tons of big name carriers. I am aware there was interest in Doha...but anyway, my vote still stands with Bangkok. Thanks again for bringing FS to such an enjoyable level of quality.

Not disappointed it's not Seattle although I would probably buy it since your sceneries are amazing. Like to see CYYZ though.

Sad about Seattle but as has been said that area is one of the top 3 worst performing areas in FSX and that's before you add things onto it. I agree that CYYZ would be a great choice and is in a solidly performing area given that it's basically flat.

Whichever airport you do, please continue developing for FS2004. It would be an utter shame if FlyTampa sceneries were to become FSX exclusive.

The poor performance in Seattle gives me hope though, perhaps FS2004 will be supported in the future to come... but then George's comments in another post about CYUL being the last FS2004 scenery just shoots that ray of hope down.

I am also hoping for more FS2004 sceneries as well... Since it follows the FSX release, maybe it can be considered per scenery?

Totally agree, really hope that FlyTampa will make airport also for fs2004 in the nearest future.

How about Salt Lake City or Minneapolis? Neither have been done to quality standards of the current day and age. Blueprint has a MSP but of course that is well.... nothing really good to say about it. Just food for thought....

A very interesting topic here!

Sad to read, that KSEA will most likely not make it, but when keeping in mind how much troubles it possibly may cause, this decision makes lots of sense - at leat for now, because maybe Version 2 of P3D will offer a platform where KSEA will run properly.

My personal "wishlist" regarding possible future FlyTampa Airport-Sceneries is long, so i will shorten it a bit - for now :D - by quoting "LH475/Ioan" here and show some support for his suggestions.

[...] Yet another suggestion would be to tap into the Japanese market, there are almost 0 sceneries for that area, those that are are ridiculously overpriced. Starting with RJTT/RJAA would be a good leap imo.

You and your team easily outmatch almost every single scenery maker out there in terms of performance and graphics, I still can't believe I get 35 constant, fluid fps while landing in a typhoon covered HKG at the helm of a PMDG 747, my hats off you you.

Keep up the good work Fly Tampa!

PS: Alex, you might want to try the Greater Tokyo area, it's an FPS black hole, with or without addons. :P

Japan - as well as many more other Asian countries and regions are really under-represented "scenery-wise" when it comes down to FSX.
Some very sad and weird fact somehow for a many reasons – especially though when keeping in mind how many huge and busy airports are to be found there in real life.
Therefore:
Why not starting with RJTT and/or RJAA to change that a bit?!

Besides that:
All Your sceneries are really amazing!
Keep up this great work!

100%AI. Who does that? I guess I will have to stick with the KSEA port over.

What about KSAN? Does that also need 100% AI to be considered?

The AI has minimal effect at SEA,

George, what about the possibility of a quick "fluff" job on the existing SEA? So much has changed at this airport since SEA was released... of course the third runway addition, and most of the airlines are now at different concourses or have merged with other carriers and are no longer flying now so the logos on the jetways could use updating. If we could get something like that and port it over to FSX ourselves, that should be a win-win for everyone, FS9, FSX and P3D users alike. :)

I think a quick "fluff" job on KSEA would be a great thing if it can't be completely redone. Maybe somewhere down the line you might consider doing KDTW. Would be great to have you bring that to life.
