Black/Night Textures

Post by jhaley101 » Sat Apr 20, 2019 7:35 am

Hello,

I have noted from other posts here that LC problems could lead to some ground textures appearing as black.

I am experiencing a problem just north east of CYUL, where ground textures from power plants are appearing as solid black. Is there a file within CYUL that may impact landclass outside the airport area?

The screenshot isn't great, but at least this gives you an idea of what I'm seeing.

Montreal doesn't have any Landclass files & the areas shown in your shots are outside the YUL scenery area.

Do you still have problems if the scenery is deactivated?

Check out the updated thread, what a great find by Nick.

Goes to show there's still great merit in the mip-mapping side of the house.

I'll confirm with a fly-by - but just to say - this is NOT a FT problem.

I would highly suggest however, that people read the thread. I wonder if some of these other reported problems have anything to do with textures that are not mip-mapped.

I realize that this may be a bit off topic, but does anyone have any idea on the consequences of going to XP 64 bit? It sounds as if this could be a good solution, but I am not sure how this would effect other programs.
