I modified the doors, for more than it was cargo and I added the push back. So it works for me and does not crash anymore. Tried and say me =)

Doesn't work for me unfortunately. Also confirmed that putting Libraries on top and checking off 3D Grass does not work either. Just did another test. It's only when certain parts of the scenery are in view it crashes.

George,

Are you sure that none of the textures are corrupted or something? I have all of FT sceneries and bunch of other sceneries' products and FT CYUL is the only one I'm having CTD issue with.

Don't want to start the blame-game, but perhaps it's worth to check textures' files integrity (i.e, the same format, alphas are present etc)

PS. I haven't tried PAPI lights theory yet, but I will

I'll add to this problem as well. Crashes every single time, day or night, multiple different aircraft. No error, just freezes and CTD. Tried all suggested solutions here, reinstalled, ran as administrator, etc.

Suspect this may have something to do with 4.1 updated in P3D? All other sceneries from FT are ok

Montreal will get a big update in the future. I can't replicate this CTD but I doubt it will survive the update.

Glad to hear that George. Its very weird, as none of your other sceneries have a problem with 4.1. Typically it happens when looking over toward the bombardier hangar and 06R when loading up, then when flying into YUL it locks up looking around the same area after a few seconds. I'll keep trying to debug this evening

For those of you who haven't resolved the CTD with the solutions suggested, I did some testing and found the Rwy28-papi.bgl file to be the culprit. Just delete this file and your CTD should be resolved. Since this is one of the shortest runways which we won't use anyway, the removal of it's PAPI's should not affect us operationally at all. P.S. I haven't tested it fully so feedback is welcomed. Additionally this fix is only tested on V4 (not 4.1 or V3).

Hi
Just wanted to added to this topic that I also had the crash in Montreal every single time the plane took off.
I also have P3D v4.2

But on August 21st there was an update: Improved photoscenery for FTX Global

The installer "installs" this bgl= Montreal_Photo.bgl

I replaced it by he one included in the 21st Aug and the problem was fixed. No crashings anymore, just some minor frame rates issues but might be due to my settings.

Regards,

Carlos

Hi again

Forgot to say I also followed these instructions

Install the updates CYUL_P3Dv4_Patch.zip file like this:

Run the FlyTampa-Config-Tool and make sure that "3D Grass" is enabled. You can switch it off again after applying the Update files.
Extract ZIP to Prepar3D/FlyTampa/
or manually copy the BGL files to Montreal\Scenery & DDS files to Montreal\Texture folder.

Delete: Prepar3D/FlyTampa/Montreal/scenery/ 2 files named PapiUNITS06 & PapiUNITS28.BGL

Montreal Re-Uploaded December 23, fixed seasonal textures
http://www.flytampa.org/dwl/CYUL_P3Dv4_Patch.zip
Install Notes: Run the FlyTampa-Config-Tool and make sure that "3D Grass" is enabled. You can switch it off again after applying the Update files.
Extract ZIP to Prepar3D/FlyTampa/
or manually copy the BGL files to Montreal\Scenery & DDS files to Montreal\Texture folder.
Delete: Prepar3D/FlyTampa/Montreal/scenery/ 2 files named Rwy06R-papi.bgl & Rwy28-papi.bgl
Failure to delete Rwy06R-papi.bgl & Rwy28-papi.bgl can result in CTD.

Hi,
I just CDT before landing at CYUL on board of a CS 757 in P3D v4.3. I can only add myself to the list of all the other simmers, since this issue occurred to me from long time ago. This is the only FT airport I faced some issue .
I can remember that the same CTD did happen even in P3D v4.2.
I don't know if there can be a lethal combination between FTX Open_LC America or waht, but I can see frm the other posts hat I'm not the only unlucky guy.
Thanks for any help - hoping in an real update to v4.3 - & regards,
Fulvio

I confirm I am also having CTD.

Last night I took the 777 from CYUL to EDDL. Soon after loading and just before engine start I had a CTD. I thought I would give it another go and it worked out ok. I arrive in EDDL this morning and closed down the sim. Later I decided to return to CYUL from EDDL and literally a few minutes ago whilst flying overhead CYUL I had a CTD.

I will delete the bgls as described above and report back if there is another CTD.

Happy flying
