Mole_man I think i have gotten the shimmering textures to stop. unfortunately i had to make my elevation of the airport 430.1 which of course makes it looks like some AI aircraft are floating around while taxiing or landing. Is there anyways you can make a new flatten for me?

Sorry I disappeared. Various life things.

The shimmering/vanishing ground texture is caused by elevation disagreements between flattens and afcad. Played around alot with it and I think I have it working. It works for me anyway starting at airport, or flying in from Portland Oregon.

I have fsgenesis 19m mesh, highly recommended, and have tested it with fsgenesis and with default mesh.

I get the shimmering effect on just the runway you added on the taxiways. By the way, one taxiway light is in the middle of that taxiway by the maintence area next to 34C.

Hello guys,

my problem is, that there is a hill at the top of the new added runway 34L and that the ends of the new added taxiways (from the new rwy 34 to the flytampa-scenery-taxiways) seems not to be displayed correct.

Hope, you could give me an idea what the problem could be (sorry for my bad english :wink: )

I believe that both ADE and SbuilderX both do flattens or AFX will do it.

Curious thing, because I tried to follow the step-by-step installation and rules, moe_man explained in his downloads.

So, there should be many other users with the same problem as me. I guess, the problem is simplier (maybe just a flatten that I forgot to delete; there are 4 or 5 in my /scenery-folder).

However, the problem has to be fixed:
The programs you are talking about - are they freeware?

The hill has gone now, caused by the TERR3D.bgl, which I forgot to delete.

But the taxiway-Problem is still there (maybe caused by the SEA_flat.bgl?

I read in this thread something about the altitutes between the flytampa-scenery and the afcad - so I tried to give my afcad another altitude (higher than 429.8 ft), but no success.

Fly Tampa - KSEA, upgraded to FSX by [http://www.myflightsimblog.com/MyFlightSimBlog/KSEA.html ] .....FSX x64 patch, had and fixed ...partially .... texture BLEED THRU ... NOW ... I get the Aircraft Falling into .....DEEP HOLES at End of RWY's & any CROSSING Rwy ..... Path ... gerrr ~

Anyway.....

I'm having a Problem ...with FSX or Ultmate Terrain X .... Bleeding thru .... ???

I must have Missed something .... I'm NOT running Orbx -- .... Just Ultimate X USA

I have included the Search ....for KSEA .... bgl ....files and do not see any other bgl files other than,

the one's installed by Fly Tampa Seattle ....

And I can not find in the Config editor in Ultimate USA-X .... a place to turn of there textures.... ????

Hey mole man. Here is the problem i am experenceing. First off, 34C is now visual approach instead of ILS. Is there a way to fix that? Also the taxi lights i was talking about that are in the way are in the screen shot below. [attachment=0]fs9 2012-02-14 18-56-42-44.png[/attachment]

Guess this effort has been abandoned? I have tried everything offered as possible fixes but I still have the problem of the taxiways disappearing. If anyone has found a fix for this is FS9, please share.
