Nov 2015 - Updated Airports (FSX and Prepar3D V3)

Post by martin[flytampa] » Tue Nov 03, 2015 5:00 pm

We are pleased to announce that most of our airports are now Prepar3D V3 compatible and that we also managed to squeeze in some bonus updates and additions.

Please note that these new versions are only available as "Full-Installers" which need to be re-downloaded from the store they were originally purchased at. If you have trouble finding your original order emails or the download links have expired, please email us with your Name and Email used at the time of purchase, as well as the products you ordered. http://www.flytampa.org/contact.html

New customers are receiving the new versions already, if in doubt about a recent order check the Installer Filename, for example FlyTampa_Dubai_Rebooted_FSX_P3D_24.exe means version 2.4.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation Notes:

- FSX & Prepar3D: If you have a previous version of these airports installed, you must remove the existing entry from the Scenery Library before installing the new version. Additionally you can delete the old files by removing /Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Airport/. The new default Installation Folder for all airports is /FlyTampa/AirportName/.

- Prepar3d V2: These new versions will work with Prepar3D V2, however at the end of the installation you will see an error message which you can ignore. This error indicates that the new Scenery was not added to the Scenery Library and you have to add it by manually (Menu: World - Scenery Library). To prevent this error altogether it is recommended that during installation-options, the last item "Add to Scenery Library" gets unchecked.

I need help downloading. I sent an email requesting my order information. While I have several BMT Micro receipts, the links for downloading no longer work, or I get a message that the password(s) have expired. Thanks for making the update to allow P3D v3 installation.

I second this question. I have altered AFCADs for all my FlyTampa airports, are they obsolete now?

Second thing I am wondering: what are "IK-Jetways"? If I copy paste this into the search bar, nothings comes up...

IK-Jetways means animated Jets using the stock FSX/P3D system (Shift-J), without requiring AES or other DLLs.

Afcads have been updated for some of the airports, but most are only minimal changes.

Well, that raises more questions:

1. Are the airports after the update still AES compatible or do we now have to wait for Oliver to adapt AES to the new updates?

2. What does it mean "minimal changes"? Can I use my updated and adapted AFCADS for Athens and Dubai for example also with the updated airports?

I am sorry, but those things should be clear before I update my airports, no?

Ditto, but at least if we were hacked, the thieves had good taste. ;)

Hi,

SimMarket are still showing Tampa as V2.2 and not 2.4.
