Yeah unfortunately frame-rates are too high for a KSEA reboot (for FSX)

at this stage we think YSSY is the front runner (I hope) for flytampa's next project, viewtopic.php?f=25&t=6063&start=15 go to George's post at the bottom (while page 1 of that thread discuss KSEA), though its not 100% confirmed.....

Wrong. In terms of sheer size, Edwards Air Force Base is the largest airport in the USA. All thanks to a few runways on the dry lake bed that are 7.5 miles long.

Negative....Denver has a runway alittle longer or as long as that. Not by choice, however. The amount of money borrowed from the Federal gov't had to be spent on the airport. So decided to build a extra long runway to compensate for the space shuttle in cases of an emergency landing....besides it is the largest by "land mass".

The "largest" as in square feet or in terms of land mass is Denver/DIA which is situated on 34,000 acres or 53 square miles of land.

Atlanta & Chicago are often in the top spot for "largest airport" by passenger volume but neither has the largest land area.

Last year Atlanta/ATL was the "largest" with a passenger volume of 85,907,423 people and Chicago/ORD was second with 76,510,003.

Denver airport in Colorado is a very impressive airport as it has the longest runway in America and is the fifth busiest airport in the world for aircraft movements. 43 million passengers used Denver airport (airport code DEN) in 2010 and many of them were skiers who were on their way to the world class facilities in Aspen. Denver airport is a pivotal airport for business travellers and readers of the business travel voted it Best North American Airport for five years in a row up until 2009.

You just had to go overboard... But What isnt fair is that list doesnt include the runways for Edwards AFB dry lake bed. A 40,000 foot runway. Nothing has come close. Then it is Denver and Atlanta behind it. Do my homework? LOL. I got airport charts buddy. i dont need to look around thanks to Simplates Ultra.

Wasn't trying to go overboard. I didn't need to "look around" considering I lived there during the construction of the airport. Also, lived in southern California......I didn't need charts for that. I thought that was info everyone knew to be honest. On the other hand Edwards was about 4 or 5 down the list. On top of that no public airline is going to land there unless they are being escorted or in an emergency event. If you don't want to do your "homework". Then do a follow up. :P
