Re: Would you consider Africa - FACT, FAOR?
I have a lot of respect for Mathijs but his logic belies an important point: simmers will buy anything that's at a high level of quality. We are so used to getting ripped off and paying for junk (notice that there's no freeware anymore and that scenery addons that were once free are now nudging US$2...

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
In fairness to FT, I have to expect that reissuing new installers for their entire product line is a lot of work. And it's not really just updating the installer to point to the new P3Dv4 directory but integrating the compatibility files and all of the other fixes that have probably piled up over th...

Re: CTD In Fly Tampa Sceneries
I can't really help but Kai Tak had been crashing on me in the same manner you describe. It's an older product so I can't help but think a model or something was compiled in a way that P3Dv4 doesn't like.

Re: FlyTampa Atlanta...Finally!
We probably shouldn't get into bashing another developer here on this forum but I have the other KATL and as an Atlantan, it's not very good. The other developer also stated they weren't going to model the 5th runway / I-285 underpass (speaking of lazy-ass developers). I dare anyone to drive through...

Re: Best logo ever!
Yeah I caught that comment yesterday on their boards. Before they released their manager software that now handles installations, one of their poor guys had to create and release new installers for their whole product line... each installer of which included options for at least 4 different simulato...

Re: FlyAmsterdam v1.1
Do we install the lite/high texture packs before or after the v1.1 update? Or does it make any difference?

SceneryDesign[org] Autogen Configuration Merger
Guys, Just a heads up that this tool exists. I noticed it after buying the brilliant Nantucket that was released. Apparently the folks at SceneryDesign.org made this tool to help merge the autogen definitions of products that write their own entries (and apparently among developers that haven't comm...

Re: Manually adding Autogen XML entries
Thanks Martin. That's sort of what I figured. I attempted to use "diffnow.com" to check the actual text contents but it claimed the files were too big.

Re: Manually adding Autogen XML entries
Just out of curiosity, how is it possible that, after the FT edits, my XML file is half the size it was before? The FT editor application makes a note of what the default version's encoding version was so I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

Re: Issue With ORBX OpenLC NA
Thanks gents for the responses. But is there a solution or work around? It occurred to me to put the default St. Maarten scenery back in and then exclude all of it with the exception of the beaches around the airport so that ORBX's landclass covers the island and not the default St. Maarten. Turns o...

Re: Issue With ORBX OpenLC NA
Hey George! Yes, so moving the water slider from Ultra to High definitely solved it. Indeed it seems to be a wave height issue. I do like to keep my water on Ultra since that setting adds the dynamic, wind-related wave height effect. FWIW, I also had this issue with FSDreamteam's PHNL a while ago, b...
