Update: Fixed for me.

Make sure you have the most recent version of the SAM plugin installed. Otherwise, the scenery just gives up and doesn't load apparently.

Same issue here. I've tried the installer a few times and I've also tried just manually installing the scenery from the zip files that you can download from the email, to no avail.
