For those having poor performance, what version of P3D?

Re: Is SODE required?
Thanks for response George, interesting ... not sure why I'm seeing a 50% degradation in performance when SODE jetways are enabled ... but the issue is fairly consistent across airports, not just FT.

Is SODE required?
If I'm using standard Ctrl J default P3D V4 jetways, do I still need to enable SODE? Reason I ask, is that SODE seems to be the source of very poor performance in any airport I have that provides the option for SODE jetways ... I'll get 50+% reduction in FPS and stutters and pulses and very long fra...

Re: KaiTak 2.0 (Prepar3D V4 only)
Big thanks for this update, looks great.
I did notice some issues with "some" boat/ship wakes (not all wakes) ... some of the boat wakes would 1/2 render the wake in the air and 1/2 on the water. This is P3D V4.3 single GPU.
Otherwise fantastic job!
Cheers, Rob.

Re: Boston V4 Rebooted - Released (soon)
Aerosoft Boston City works great after renaming AF2_KBOS_ALT.BGL to AF2_KBOS_ALT.OFF You can find it in YourPrepar3D Folder\Scenery\World\scenery Thanks George, that did the trick. Aerosoft's US Cities Boston works very well with KBOS in P3D V4.2. To recover performance, I did uninstall ORBX OpenLC...

Re: Las Vegas Preview in Prepar3DV4
Wow Emilios, not bad for a lazy-ass developer. So you're doing the entire Las Vegas strip also? This is going to be one heck of an airport/surround scenery package.
Look forward to this.

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Big thank you for doing all this work FlyTampa dev team, appreciate the V4 support, every airport option turned on and smooth sailing in P3D V4 ... first time I've actually been able to do that thanks to V4 64bit. Great times ahead.

Wow, this looks amazing George! Love how you've made great use of P3D V4's dynamic lighting and those textures are just outstanding! Look forward to this release. So many new V4 "supported" airports coming out soon along with PMDG's aircraft and TDFi and others ... enough to keep me flying...

EHAM in 4K
Wonderful job at optimizing this airport Emilios. So much complexity with excellent performance, I could spend days just exploring the airport with my Avatar.

You've got a golden opportunity don't let it pass you by ... LM do listen, just don't expect P3D tools to be FSX reliable ... heheemilios[flytampa] wrote: thanks Rob
i thik we'll all stop fs2k as soon as P3D tools become equally reliable
