It can probably be changed to concrete, but that will slightly alter the visual as well, because our custom ground polys are semi-transparent (to let the rain water relfect a bit). Does that apply to FS9 as well? I've stripped my Afcad from all visual elements and I think the scenery looks the same...

I'm confused, default ATIS is controlled via the default ATC window. Are you saying ATIS and its frequency are not selectable on the ATC window? Or can it be tuned but no audio? And no CPU can change that. It's about more than that and let's face it, with FS XI coming, now would be a very stupid moment to make the switch to FSX and invest in it. That time has passed.

Edit: with all files back to normal (names), try deleting the scenery.dat file in FlyTampa-Tampa. Then start up the sim and let it completely rebuilt the file. It's a longshot, but corrupt scenery.dat files have been known to have strange effects.
