I think that it would be just a matter of asking. I have some photos, and I also have a few sources that work at ANC (ARFF). I also just finished watching the ASA 727-200 DVD video. Since the video for the DVD was shot during the winter, it would be a good source for some of the winter scenery at AN...

Yep, I read Tdraggers post/blog AFTER I made mine... based on previous info that has since changed. After my post yesterday, I found my way to Tdragger's and other's blogs. It appears MS has taken a step back to ensure FSX will be more compatible (usable) with existing systems, thus "more appea...

Howdy All, Since the beta/demo version of FSX has been out I have seen many people complain about it's poor performance. Don't judge too early. By my estimates, the demo is only running about 1/3 of it's potential performance level. Once the full version is released for VISTA and DirectX-10, it shou...

I will be there for the one week (last week in July), and if need be I can arrange for access to the ramp area(s). If this is a real need (for serious development), I will start making arrangements ASAP. Additionally I would like some direction as to what areas/items need to be photo'd so that I can...

Although the offer has already been made for photos.... I will be in ANC in July and would be willing to take photos if needed... This is really a unique airport, it nothing else just the shear number of GA mixed with the heavy commercial/cargo at the same airport. The number of Floats at Lake Hood ...

The dual core will not help FS (it's not designed to utilize a second CPU). However, a dual core (or a two processor setup) will help if you are running other third party add-ons such as ActiveSky or any other programs you might have running in the background. These other add-ons can run and do thei...

Howdy, My program hault errors were/are reported as cased by the fe.dll file, which is a default MS file in the modules folder. In discussion with them over at the ActiveSky forums, have lead me to other discussions. Also there is a new discussion at ActiveSky concerning CTD's during long flights. h...

What verson of ActiveSky are you running?? Ver6 SU3?? Though this was suppose to be fixing some memory leakage problems, I have found that I get some dll errors when flying to BOS and SEA when I upgraded from SU2 to SU3. Although I have not been able to duplicate the error on every flight. You might...

I too have been looking for scenery for ANC, and as far as I know (after extensive on-line searching) no one has developed anything. I usually do a search every few months to see if something new has come up. Of course it would be great if one of these good quality developers  would tackle thi...

Yep, by disabling the FT-bgl file and restoring the default does correct this area.... but of course we have just disabled the rest of the terrain features around the airport. (I switched mine back to enjoy the great work everywhere else) It appears to me that the FT-bgl file needs to be tweaked to ...

Same problem here... Although compared to the rest of this excelent product, this is a minor problem on my list.

I'm NOT running Ultimate Terrain, but I am running MegaScenery.

PANC: A busy international airport due to the number of flights that stop for fuel that are going "over the top" or transpacific. This combined with the number of civilian GA traffic that also flies in/out of ANC.

PANC has my vote.
