This would be Terminal 2, the old international terminal. It has been closed since the new International wings were opened. I walked through it the other day during a layover and it is like a ghost town, completely empty. There are temporary work walls blocking the view from the large and still attr...

SFO Update

Please see the FlyTampa SFO forum for information regarding the demolition if Rotunda A in Terminal 1 (the old Pan Am and, later, US Airways gates) which closely abutted the South wing of the International Terminal. Rotunda A has been torn down, finally opening up the eventual use of all the Interna...

Heads Up: Rotunda A, Terminal 1 Finally Demolished

Rotunda A, Terminal 1 has been demolished. I had a long layover at SFO Wednesday and walked over from Terminal 3 to visit the Museum in the International Terminal South and have lunch. I looked out noticed that the rotunda, formerly years ago the home of Pan Am before the old International Terminal ...

FSX "Old" Miami

If there was ever a compelling reason to see that the flat vs. round earth impediment is worked out by Microsoft with creative developers such as FlyTampa, we need look no further than FSX Miami, or for that matter, New York JFK. For fairly apparent personal reasons, my first look at FSX out of the ...

The site you've selected for your Virtual is probably the best one available since the west side of the southwestern cargo area above Runway 9 really is a composite more-or-less and the "base" operations of the others are elsewhere on the field. Sounds good to me.

Oops .. forgot .. the long "diagonal" nw/se ramp agjacent to Rwy 30/12 is home to DHL (south end of it, about six-eight parking slots) and the rest are an assortment of smaller, primarily Latin ops. You are right, UPS has their base on the NW side of the field, clearly marked in the scenery (I've re...

Yes. Look at your FlyTampa Scenery and notice on the SW side of the field, above Runway 9, the easterly of the two large ramps with the United Cargo logo on the SE bui8lding. That building now has an Arrow logo on it as United has withdrawn from Miami. At any time when the Arrow fleet is loading and...

Negative. The remnents of B and C (still partially in use and what a dump, except the shorter C security line)), as well as the maintenance/luggage monster between C and D will all disappear if and when the Super A North Terminal is completed. It has been quite a controversial project, as it turns o...

Thank You

Ironically, just came in from Logan, sat down, signed on to see what's new, and read the announcement. I can't wait to load the new version. The screen shots of the completed Terminal A show a remarkable accuracy and the United line maintenance hangar sure looks real, too. Thank you for not just upd...

I transit Miami International an average of twice a month or more, and am familiar with the airport, as an area native, for my entire life, and I can recall as a child the opening of the "20th Street" terminal to replace the old 36th Street facilities. So I suppose that dates me. I've also used ever...

Probably, yes. Various mesh options were tested and all worked. I do not remember specifically if this mesh was one of them but I suspect it was. You may want to go over to the Free Flow Florida for a more definite confirmation.

George, both of your currently "under construction" Terminal A structures are remarkably accurate as they are. Some months ago, I created my own AFCAD of your excellent scenery, and when the new A opened, I simply created the 20+ new Delta and Song gates along the construction barracades that you ha...

I am an FFFT beta tester and have both FlyTampa Miami and FlyTampa Tampa installed. I have had absolutely no problems, zero, none. The new statewide scenery is incredible, especially the accuracy of the coastlines, bays and lakes. It also works seamlessly with US Roads, which I also have installed.
