Having similar issues. Slow texture loading is resulting from the fact that scenery is not actually recompiled for v4, it's just carried on without any recoding. Same goes for performance. I guess we need to wait for official v4 update which will use all of its features allowing for decent performan...

Unfortunately I can't confirm that it's fault of v4 new settings, because even if I set all to normal and disable traffic I get very low performance, comparing to at least 30 FPS in v3. Scenario with PMDG 777 is literally unplayable and disabling all of bells and whistles in configurator doesn't add...
