Ok, now I managed to do it. The scenery.cfg was indeed filled with weird characters, but at first deleting them and the new FlyTampa entries had no effect. I'm having the exact same problem, but for Copenhagen, which I bought today. I've done the described procedure on the document and here, but the folders just dissapear, like AV8oRick said, regardless of the order they were added.

I'm using FSX and Windows 7.
