Re: Update & Sydney YSSY
Well said Sam! Nice to see a sensible and polite post on these forums - very rare nowadays. I will be very happy if Sydney comes out for the FS9 platform as it is my hometown airport. I have no intention of upgrading to FSX in the foreseeable future (it is still sitting in its box after I uninstalle...

Re: Sydney YSSY Preview One
Please, please try and produce a version for FS9! I have been waiting for many years for a decent version of my home town airport, and it would be heartbreaking to miss out now.

Re: CYUL in Level D Simulator Visual System vs Fly Tampa's
The purpose of real-world simulators is to train the pilot to handle the plane in all types of situations. The scenery is not the main purpose of the device.

Re: Update & Sydney YSSY
Yes - I am looking forward to the FS2004 version too! I have flown the Sydney-Dubai route several times as a passenger on the A380. It will be great to try it on FS2004 with FlyTampa's great scenery.

From the architect's web site:

"Below the cabin, the six pods of the cloverleaf shaped main deck, contain technical rooms, duty staff rest areas, toilets and a plant room."

Re: What's next for the best...
I am delighted by the news that we might be getting FlyTampa YSSY! I live in Sydney and it would be fantastic to have a realistic version of the airport. Please don't forget FS9!
Cheers,

Re: Cant land on helipads
Thanks Ed,
I will look into it tonight, but as I say, I rarely fly helicopters so it does not matter a great deal to me.

Re: Cant land on helipads
Hi Ed, Thank you for your terrific efforts to add little extras to Dubai. Although I rarely fly helicopters, I tried your AFCAD fof the Burj Dubai, but it does not seem to work for me. My helicopter drops through the helipad and sits about 1.5 metres below it. Could it be something to do with add-on...

Re: [FS9] Mesh compatability
The folder structure is basically something this: [Area.053] Title=HiRes Mesh Active=TRUE Layer=53 Local=Addon Scenery\_Mesh\HiRes\ Required=FALSE . . Re: [FS9] Mesh compatability
I think I have fixed this problem. First I moved the file "athens_mesh_fs9.bgl" to my hi-res mesh folder, but this seem to have no effect. Then I remembered a trick I read about years ago that affects the order in which the files are read - I renamed the file to "zz_athens_mesh_fs9.bg...
