Michael, I think you are getting your cargo airlines mixed up a little. CKK is the identifier for China Cargo Airlines, who only operate MD-11F aircraft. CALC is the identifier we use in FS for China Airlines Cargo who use 747-400Fs (in reality they use CAL). Here are some pictures to help you out: ...

Did a flight with my PMDG 747 and it parked just right with the parking guy. I have my 747 set at 43m and my 737 set at 23m. But it's nice scenery. The 43m radius will have nothing to do with the marshaller. It will only be used by ATC to assign you a gate. The marshaller 'reacts' with the viewpoin...

I was able to fix the problem by using the simple fix seen here: http://afcad.projectai.com/documents/tips/holdshortnodes.htm Now all arriving traffic merrily crosses the other runway with no delays, no backups, and no go-arounds.  :D The scenery is awesome...kudos to the team!!! That...

I've gotten rid of the hold short problem by eliminating the runway crossing nodes on 16L/34R (NOT the hold short nodes). I've also added more parking here and there (call it overflow parking) and tweaked the AFCAD to conform more to PAI recommended radius standards. As far as the airline parking co...

You can try out the attached AFCAD file if you like. All I did was add the glideslope to rwy 30. I wasn't able to find the exact location of the glideslope antenna, so just eyeballed it. Hopefully it's close enough. This AFCAD is based off the one supplied from Jim Vile, though, I've changed quite a...

Luis, It's not a problem and is done on purpose. The reason being that ground will tell an aircraft to hold short of a runway when an aircraft is cleared to land (or takeoff) on it, even if it's 5 miles away. This can create bottlenecks of holding ground traffic, especially at busy airports. Some ge...

Well, having worked there for the last 3 years, I was wondering what all that construction equipment on the south side of 23R/5L was, and why they built a new 300 foot control tower, along with a new interchange off I-70 on the south side of the airport. As the comedian Bill Engvall likes to say, &q...

I started on KIND a few weeks ago (work there). While I'm not ready to show it off just yet, it's coming along nicely, in regard to modelling. Texturing isn't really my thing, so I may have my partner with another simulator help me, or I'll put myself through some rigorous schooling in that regard. ...

I also put my vote in for KIND. I worked at the ATA hangar up until just after 9/11 when a good chunk of the work force there was layed off. Rather than wait to be called back or sent to MDW I decided to pursue other interests. Anyhow, since Martin seems to like construction scenes (ala KMIA), IND i...

VERY impressed!
Hi guys! I just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know how impressed I am with this scenery package. I worked on a project with Amtrak, involving their Surfliner that runs between San Diego and LA, and every day I passed this airport and got some great shots of planes taking off and landin...
